Mobster movies like The Godfather heavily inspire the storyline. Payday: The Heist pits you and several online collaborators in several bank-robbing scenarios. Shen is an undercover cop who goes rogue, deciding he likes criminal life more than his life as a cop.

As the line continually blurs between cop and mobster, players are faced with hard decisions. You can often find this game as being compared to the cult followed drama supernatural detective televised series Twin Peaks. This was a third-person survival horror game that followed a FBI agent into a small town due to a strange murder case.

Players are then introduced to this offbeat town where its clear that supernatural entities are at play. As mentioned, FBI Special Agent Francis York along with his friend Zach begins to investigate the small town in hopes of solving a murder case that may have ties to a drug ring. Also just as before, the game received some mixed reviews with some truly loving the gameplay and narrative setup.

If you feel like diving back into the Deadly Premonition world featuring a younger Francis York Morgan then you can overall expect the same type of gameplay from the initial installment. Rockstar Games is known for delivering the stellar Grand Theft Auto franchise.

These games have been around for ages now and continue to thrive today. While some fans have been waiting on the announcement of a Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar Games opted to give players something to tide them over. The narrative is intact here, but players are receiving some overhauls in visuals and modern mechanics.

Of course, since they are a bit older, they might not have all the bells and whistles as the more recent releases. This not only includes the remastered game but also the expanded storylines to give more insight to different character perspectives. The video gamen takes the same gameplay mechanics and goals since the franchise first launched. The game is a more of a focus on detective work and in our Before You Buy episode upload we found that it feels more like Ace Attorney style elements in comparison to something like L.

Hitman released as an episodic stealth video game where players took the role as Agent 47 who must stealthily assassinate his designated targets. As mentioned, this is a slight reboot as the game does take place both prior to Hitman: Codename 47 along with also taking place years after the events of Hitman: Absolution.

Within the game, players must fulfill several assassination contracts that slowly seem to connect. As a result, Agent 47 must blend in with his surroundings along with cleaning up any messes he left from his trail. Though Hitman released episodically, players will have the full game available right now through the Definitive Edition.

This time around, players are taken to the San Francisco Bay Area to explore and cause havoc by hacking various terminals connecting to city functions or personal smartphones.
