Living near one of these campuses allows listeners to attend in person for their dose of holiday cheer. However, many of these beautiful concerts are broadcast live on radio or television. The St. Olaf College Music Department hosts some of the finest collegiate choirs in the country.
Olaf choirs have been building a reputation for excellence since , The St. Olaf Choir, the premier a cappella 75 voice choir has been conducted by Anton Armstrong since and sets an extremely high standard in the choral arts. Olaf Choir has taken 14 international tours and performed in major concert halls of Norway, France, South Korea, Australia, and many other countries. Recently, St. Olaf Choir won two regional Emmy awards for their performance in the year-old Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway.
