Networking Printer Problem!! This computer runs my network. I have just upgraded my laptop and have tried to connect to my network so I can set up printer sharing etc..
My problem is that although I am connected to the server it is not picking up the printer that is installed, although my old laptop that was running XP did pick it up.. I have tried switching off my antivirus incase it might have been thath but it did not work, any ideas!! I need help! This USB drive is used for backup for both the desktop machine and my laptop. After the merge, I could no longer see the USB drive. I gave it a new drive letter using disk management and can now see it on the desktop machine.
However, I does not appear on the network when viewed from the laptop. I'm stuck. The problem seems to be that My network has only got 1 ip address. I have 2 pcs, 1 laptop, 1 PDA an xbox and PS3 on the network but whichever i check out using whatismyip. If I am on the network and connect using the local ip, eg It gives me the error "The client could not connect to the remote computer, the server might be busy" This also happens when using another PC that is not on the network.
